Editing images

Click an image on a page and a toolbar appears with everything you can do to it — describe a change to AI, swap the file, or remove its background.

Describe a change

Click Edit with AI and describe what you want. The chat has two modes: Edit changes the current image — "make it brighter", "change the background", etc — and New generates a brand new image in its place.

Note: Quality can degrade over successive AI edits. Each edit produces a new version of the image, and small flaws carry into the next round. Describe everything you want changed in one request where you can. If an image has drifted after several rounds of edits, start again from the original.

Stuck on wording? Click the 💡 icon in the chat box for prompt ideas drawn from your page's content.

Replace an image

Click Edit Source to replace the image. You can upload a new image or pick an existing image one from your library.

Remove the background

Click Remove BG and a copy of the image with the background removed is created and swapped in — handy for logos, equipment shots, or cutting a crew photo out of a busy scene.

Your image library

Every upload and generated image is saved to your library (the images icon in the left nav), organized into Photos and Illustrations. You can upload, delete, and adjust image metadata there.
